BloodPril Results Timeline: What to Track, Week by Week

Written by the BloodPril editorial team · Last updated · 7 min read · Medical review below

Quick answerNo one knows how long BloodPril takes to work, because no trial of it has been published. Arginine and citrulline trials ran several weeks at gram doses, far more than one capsule. The sales page asks for at least 30 days of use inside a 60-day window. Track home readings from day 1 and review them with your doctor.

Short answer

How long does BloodPril take to work?

No one can give you a firm number. BloodPril has not been tested in a published trial, so there is no measured timeline for it.

What we do have is the time frame of ingredient studies. Those ran for weeks, not days, at much larger doses. The sales page also asks for at least 30 days of use. So think in months, and let your cuff log do the talking.

Research

What did trials measure over weeks?

Each study below gave a daily dose and checked results after a set period. The table shows how long each one ran.

None of these studies used BloodPril. Its whole blend is 500 mg a capsule, or 1,000 mg at the label maximum.
What was studiedDaily doseHow longWhat was foundSource
Arginine, blood pressure4 to 24 g a daySeveral weeks per trial, 11 trialsAbout 5/3 mmHg lower than placebo(Dong et al., 2011)
Citrulline, blood pressureGram dosesSmall trials over weeksNeeds larger, longer studies(Mirenayat et al., 2018)
Arginine AKG, exercise12 g a day8 weeksSome strength measures improved(Campbell et al., 2006)
Arginine after heart attackGram doses6 monthsNo benefit; more deaths; stopped early(Schulman et al., JAMA 2006)

A review of arginine and citrulline found modest drops in some trials. It also noted that results vary and long-term data are limited (Khalaf et al., 2019). Our arginine research article looks at the trials more closely.

Arginine

How long does it take for L-arginine to lower blood pressure?

In research, it took weeks of daily gram doses. The trials in the main meta-analysis gave 4 to 24 g of arginine a day and compared blood pressure with placebo at the end (Dong et al., 2011).

Citrulline is a more efficient route to blood arginine. One study showed oral citrulline raised blood arginine more efficiently than arginine itself (Schwedhelm et al., 2008). Raising arginine in the blood, though, is not the same as a lasting change in your readings.

Your plan

A sensible 60-day plan, week by week

This plan fits the 60-day window and the 30-day use request. Adjust it with your doctor.

  1. Before day 1

Log a week of home readings, morning and evening. These are your starting numbers. Ask your doctor if the supplement is safe with your medicines.

  2. Week 1

One capsule each morning with water. Keep logging at the same times. Note any dizziness or stomach upset.

  3. Weeks 2 to 4

Keep the routine steady. Look at weekly averages, not single readings. Keep every prescribed medicine as directed.

  4. Day 30

The sales page asks for at least 30 days of use. Compare your average with your starting week.

  5. Day 45

Share the log with your doctor. Decide together whether to continue.

  6. Day 60

The 60-day window from purchase ends. Call the order desk before this date if it is not for you.

Window

How does the 60-day window line up?

The window starts on the day you buy, not the day the bottle arrives. The dial marks the key dates.

  2. Day 30The sales page asks for at least 30 days of use.
  3. Day 45Review your cuff log with your doctor.
  4. Day 60Last day to call the order desk.

To ask for a refund, call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID. The window is 60 days from purchase, and the sales page also asks that you take the capsules for at least 30 days before asking for a refund. Confirm the live wording with the order desk before you send anything back. The guarantee page has the full return steps.

Tracking

How should you track your readings?

Use a validated upper-arm cuff. Sit quietly with your back supported, feet flat and your arm at heart level. Measure at the same times each day (AHA, Home monitoring).

Take two readings a minute apart and write both down. Note the date, time and anything unusual, like poor sleep or a salty meal. Use the chart below to see where your numbers fall.

Blood pressure categories for adults from the American Heart Association. Your doctor may set a different target for you.

Normal swings

Why do readings go up and down from day to day?

Blood pressure changes all day long. Stress, caffeine, a full bladder, poor sleep, salt and even talking during a reading can push it up.

That is why one number tells you little. Compare weekly averages instead. A change that shows up across several weeks means more than any single good or bad day.

Other factors

What else can move your numbers during these weeks?

Plenty, and that is worth knowing before you credit or blame a supplement. A new medicine dose, a change in diet, a cold or a stressful month can all shift readings.

Write those events in your log. If you start the DASH eating plan, cut salt or walk more at the same time, those habits have their own evidence (NHLBI, DASH eating plan). They are worth doing either way. Our blood pressure basics guide explains each one in plain words.

Honest note

Honest note: you may see no change

That is a real possibility. One capsule holds 500 mg of blend, while the arginine trials started at 4 g of arginine alone. No trial has tested BloodPril at its own dose.

If your log shows no change, that is useful information, not a failure on your part. It may mean other steps, like the DASH eating plan, less salt or a medicine review, deserve more of your effort (NHLBI, DASH eating plan).

Safety

When should you stop and call your doctor?

Safety first

Call your doctor if you feel dizzy or faint, or your readings drop well below your usual range. Never stop, skip or change prescribed medicine because of a supplement; ask your doctor first.

Call 911 for a reading above 180/120 with chest pain, shortness of breath, back pain, numbness, weakness, vision change or trouble speaking (AHA, Blood pressure readings).

Stomach upset, bloating and diarrhea have also been reported with arginine and citrulline. Our side effects page lists what to watch for.

FAQ

BloodPril results timeline: questions people ask

How long does BloodPril take to work?

There is no published answer, because BloodPril itself has not been tested in a trial. The sales page asks for at least 30 days of use, so plan to log readings for at least that long.

How long does it take for L-arginine to lower blood pressure?

In trials, arginine was taken daily for several weeks before blood pressure was compared with placebo. Those trials used 4 to 24 g a day, not the amount in one capsule.

How long does L-citrulline take to work?

In healthy volunteers, oral citrulline raised blood arginine more efficiently than arginine. Blood pressure trials, though, ran over weeks and were small, so the timing for any effect is not settled.

Will I feel BloodPril working?

Probably not. Blood pressure changes rarely cause a feeling you can notice, which is why a home cuff log matters more than how you feel.

What if my readings do not change after 30 days?

That is a possible result. Share your log with your doctor, and if you decide to stop, call the order desk before day 60 from purchase.

Should I stop BloodPril if my blood pressure goes down?

Talk to your doctor before you change anything. A drop can come from many causes, and your medicine plan should be set by your doctor.

How often should I check my blood pressure while taking a supplement?

Twice a day at the same times works for many people, with two readings each time. Ask your doctor for a plan that suits you.

What is a normal blood pressure reading?

The American Heart Association calls a reading under 120/80 normal. Your doctor may set a different target for you.

Is 60 days long enough to judge BloodPril?

It is enough to build a useful cuff log, since the sales page asks for 30 days of use and trials ran several weeks. Remember the window counts from purchase, not delivery.

Should I take 2 capsules to see results faster?

No. The label allows up to 2 a day, but no study shows a faster result, and more may add to medicine effects. Ask your doctor before you go above one.
